Recent real estate market reports, such as the Associated Press report claim:

981,000 new homes sold in April 2007 - up 16.2 percent over April 2006, and the biggest one-month jump in 14 years.

New home prices fell 11.1 percent between March and April 2007. Builders are slashing prices to move a huge inventory of unsold homes.

Rather than being a "boom" this appears just a small tremor in some parts of the country. Strong sales - up 27.8 percent - occurred in the South. In the Midwest, sales dropped by 4 percent.

So knowledge is powerful, pre-arranged mortgage facilities help, but the real power is in action.
